Comment # 2 on bug 1199699 from Yasuhiko Kamata

It could not be reproduced..

Steps I tried:
1. Install openSUSE Tumbleweed 20220518 with "Generic Desktop".
2. Add "KDE:KDE3" OBS repo and install kdebase3-{apps,kdm,session,workspace}
and kde3-style-asteroid (according to the comment of TDE bug report).
3. Run "update-alternatives" and select kdm3 as display manager.
4. Reboot.
5. Login as user and select "Asteroid style" in Control Center.
6. Logout and re-login.
