I don't know if this bugs makes senses now, because in openSUSE 13.1 there's
the new kcm-touchpad package, which substitute synaptiks into handling the
touchpad and disabling it when an USB mouse in plugged in. And it is doing very
well its job.

Also, when kcm-touchpad is installed it uninstalls synatiks.

Maybe it just concerns to older versions of KDE that don't have the new
kcm-touchpad.
