That's odd.  There is no update of the contents of ibt-0040-* files between
those versions, as far as I see the git log.  The last update was on May, so
many months ago.

Are you sure that it's the firmware update that broke?  Also, have you tested
with 6.12 kernel?  It's available in OBS Kernel:stable repo
