Instead of wget'ing things from the internet etc, the proper workaround would be to use `update-alternatives --config pip` to provide 2.7's version of pip in manual mode. IMHO, the proper fix would be either to ship a pip2 as said, or a pip3 (as other distros do), or to fix `update-alternatives` priority for python-pip and/or python3-pip.
