Seems I (and the reporter in redhat's bugzilla) may have been hit by some (rare= corner case and the problem is not really reproducible. See: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/523491-Kernel-4-10-x-setting-regulatory-domain-broken Setting back severity to normal. If somebody reading this has any clue what might be the problem, be my guest as I am running out of ideas. AK
