After the latest update to 5.17.0 (21.04.0) I encounter this problem: with my imap account without further action, the password request pops up empty, the existing IMAP password is missing in Kwallet. I had this twice now, did setup the password again today. I will report back in a few days. IMAP smtp password is not lost instead. Previous version of Kontact had no problem.
