Forgot to mentioned it here ..... SOLVED !!! Yey.

NetworkManager 1.0.0 released!

This package solves this long outstanding problem for past few months(!!). I am
quite surprised that being it released late December it is still not available
as updates for 13.2 and Tumbleweed.

(For me it is Tumbleweed) I used the following repo to updated the
networkmanager package and all the required for me (incl.
networkmanager-openvpn) -
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/X0F:/branches:/network/

Once added via Software Manager switch to using this repo and update all that
system states, incl. dependencies/removals.

No more need to manually connect via CLI everytime.
