on openSUSE Tumbleweed, the command: ld --version tells: GNU ld (GNU Binutils; openSUSE Factory) 2.25.0 'openSUSE Factory' was an old 'working title' - the distribution nowadays is called 'openSUSE Tumbleweed'. It would be nice to adjust this.
