https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=347482 Summary: Remote network installation and changed IP issue Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: diego.ercolani@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer When you activate the remote installation procedure, is needed to provide in the command line the ip address of the box with the linuxrc parameter "hostip" after first reboot you have to configure the root account and vary hardware things, among the others, the address of the network card you've used to install the system. (you are in a session with the command /usr/lib/YaST2/startup/YaST2.ssh) In fact, if you change the address, the system flushes the old configuration and use correctly the new one but, without telling you anything, your connection is dropped. The solution should avoid this verifying that no-one is connected while reconfiguring the ip address or firewalling and giving user a warning.
