Hi Matwey, thanks yes you digged into it already, sorry I didn't looked close enough. iirc parted creates a random MBR signature. I don't understand why just reading the current table also triggers this table->mbr_signature = generate_random_uint32 There is a patch in parted which prevents that but imho only on x86 To be honest I don't want to run haveged in the initrd just to create an entropy pool for the partitioner, that sounds weird
