The problem is still happening in exactly the same way - even with the same error message - in current Tumbleweed and in Leap 42.1 Additional remark: I observe this problem only in VMs (qemu), not on bare metal. *Wild guess*: Maybe some component of the qt stack is very sensitive to some "virtualisation effects". In the same VMs I can download the same files e.g. with Firefox without problems.
