I can confirm it for CUPS 2.0.3 from the OBS "Printing" project
that I run on my openSUSE 13.2 system.

This CUPS thingy is too complicated (i.e. too much functionality)
that has become an unmaintainable monster of oversophisticated software
which breaks every now and then at various (unexpected) places.
