After getting the Applications and Frameworks sorted out Kontact started and the Wizard ran. - Added the Bug Report e-Mail account via the Wizard -- everything connected to the 1&1 server as expected -- encrypted connections (SSL/TLS (receive) and TLS (transmit)) were set-up correctly by the Wizard. - Noticed that, sent e-Mails weren't showing up in the "Sent" folder. - Akregator is running correctly with the default KDE News Feeds. - Closed down Kontact and then restarted it -- it crashed with a segment fault. - Attempted to add the debuginfo packages -- failed due to the repositories not being able to be resolved. - Restarted again -- the sent e-Mails are now visible in the "Sent" folder. - E-Mail sent to the Bug Report address are received and displayed correctly. ----------------------------------------------------------- I now believe that, with the KDE Applications and Framework version 16.08.0, the Beta testers will have sufficient time to discover any remaining issues with Leap 42.2 KDE.
