Created attachment 795931 [details] v2-KVM-x86-fix-L1TF-s-MMIO-GFN-calculation patch for leap 15.0 kernel On a PC with a Intel Core2 CPU, I cannot run a Linux guest OS with qemu-kvm. On the same hardware everything worked with Leap 42.3. It turns out that this is a known problem: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1633058 with a solution: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10614795/ I build the 15.0 kernel with the patch and tested it and indeed qemu-kvm works again on the Core2 CPU Attached is the patch that apply against the current 15.0 kernel. Please add it to the Leap 15.0/15.1 kernels.
