Also failed here. After a main stops and starts, a finally got a clean,
error-free upgrade from 13.1 to 13.2. But modules for ethernet, WiFi and video
card were not installed and were not present, so there was no network and
screen was set to 1024x768 and could not change.

Using find on /lib/modules revealed that modules such as the alx* module were
present in earlier kernels (3.11.*, 3.7.*) but not in 3.16.*.

For the time being I am working around this by booting with an older kernel.
