After the installation of Leap 42.2 Beta 1 completed, the audio level of the system sounds was very low -- almost inaudible. Investigation revealed that, the YaST Hardware Sound Configuration was reporting that, a sound card was detected but not configured. Configuring the detected card with the default automatic configuration YaST routine resolved the issue. -------------------------------------------------------------- Given the amount of Forums discussion related to this issue and, the number of "new to openSUSE" folks, might it not be a reasonable idea to execute the default automatic sound card configuration routine on each detected sound card during installation?
