Hello Gordon,
It appears as if you have a line
session  include       pam_xauth.so
in the /etc/pam.d/sudo file or (less likely) in one of the /etc/pam.d/common-*
files, as "_pam_load_config_file" is only used for these ... well ... config
files, not for the .so module files!

Can you please attach the contents of /etc/pam.d and (for the sake of
completeness) the list of installed packages to the bugzilla?
