I am reporting this on behalf of another user in lieu of creating another bugzilla account. See upstream report https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=775733 that was indicated in IRC (fa0) affects Leap 42.2 and Tumbleweed. It was suggested to interact on the upstream report. Personally, I had a similar problem that after the big NetworkManager update in Tumbleweed my openVPN connection with lzo no stopped working. I was able to resolve by unchecking lzo compression instead of leaving as "No by default". The migration issue I imagine is tied in with this issue.
