With GNOME Software becoming usable on Tumbleweed (which now also publishes dynamic, valid appstream metadata), we need to address this issue. PK would preferably not have to shut down all the time - this kills the integration with gnome-shell's search provider badly. As it stands now, though, there is no actual locking available.
