• kernel-firmware-nvidia-gspx-G06-cuda is at the only available version 560.35.03. • nvidia-open-driver-G06-signed-cuda-kmp-default has versions 560.35.03_k6.11.8_1-2.1 and 565.57.01_k6.12.6_1-3.1, but only the former can be installed because of kernel-firmware-nvidia-gspx-G06-cuda's version. • Notice how the kernel module's versions are kernel-specific, but nothing prevents zypper from upgrading the kernel to 6.12.6 anyway, leaving users without a working GPU driver. The workaround is to keep booting with the old kernel while it's still available in the system. It's unclear what blocks timely updates for kernel-firmware-nvidia-gspx-G06-cuda, since kernel-firmware-nvidia-gspx-G06 (the non-CUDA counterpart) is at the correct version 565.57.01, and both are shipped by openSUSE. This is not a one-time issue, it happens regularly, effectively limiting system updates for NVIDIA CUDA users to the short time windows when kernel-firmware-nvidia-gspx-G06-cuda's and nvidia-open-driver-G06-signed-cuda-kmp-default's versions align.
