no, Appstream-builder no longer produces appdata.xml from the pure existence of
desktop files - the quality was too low to reasonably be presented in a SC

Based on the discussion, I'll work on implementing this in a branch as a patch
on top of rpm (which has the find-lang macro and scripts)
