I'd probably leave JIRA out for now and think about implementing as simple as
possible list of devices. Try to think out of the box, maybe a "list" is not
as simple as a "tree" where you can choose from several options for a given
disk/partition/...place.

This could even be quite dynamic in a way how these items are offered to
the user when getting deeper in the selection. Maybe a nice task for UI/UX
cooperation?
