I can happily report that vmd.ko is now listed when I run 'lsinitrd' on an up and running Leap 15.0 release 183.1: ------- linux-mxph:~ # cat /etc/os-release NAME="openSUSE Leap" VERSION="15.0 Beta" ID=opensuse ID_LIKE="suse" VERSION_ID="15.0" PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE Leap 15.0 Beta" ANSI_COLOR="0;32" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:leap:15.0" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.opensuse.org" HOME_URL="https://www.opensuse.org/" linux-mxph:~ # rpm -q openSUSE-release openSUSE-release-15.0-lp150.74.1.x86_64 ------- I am running this in a VM on VMware. Per my previous test, "initrd" now includes vmd.ko both during and after the installation and hence a Leap 15.0 installation on a system that requires vmd.ko to access storage should be successful. Unless you need to keep the bug open for other purposes, as far as I am concerned you can now close the bug as fixed. Thank you for all your help with this!
