Comment # 4 on bug 944978 from Alberto Zacchetti

I made many tests and I realized I was wrong about nomodeset option. In fact,
with this I can install the system also with efi boot. But after the restart,
the system still hangs at the graphical login screen, if the system boot
without the nomodeset option, while with this the system hangs before the
login.
This same problem began to occur even after the latest updates of Tumbleweed,
in early September, whereas before everything worked perfectly.
However, both Tumbleweed and 42.1 repeatedly displayed the following message on
the console:
NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 23s!
