Created attachment 741864 [details] Output from alsa-info.sh After a fresh install of Leap 42.3 in a rather new Dell XPS 15, the sound does not work. Reboot brought sound, although I could not change the general volume (neither from Gnome nor using alsamixer). Further, I realised that the headphones are not recognised and do not work in any way. I have been playing around with different options for the model listed in the Alsa documentation and searching online, but all test were unsuccessful so far. Sometimes I completely loose sound (no sound card is detected at all), which comes back after 1 or event 2 reboots sometimes. I would describe the behaviour as erratic and hardly predictable. Searching online describes similar behaviour (for instance https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/49157) which makes me believe its a kernel bug. I attach the output of /usr/sbin/alsa-info.sh as regular user, where you can appreciate some errors related to snd_hda_intel.
