Some distros have a company as main sponsor, some don't; the ones with a
corporate main sponsor have more to lose and won't risk a legal battle over it.

VLC is a valid backend for phonon; besides, it lt plays so many more formats
than what the patents would block.

No - it's like 'inviting users to illegal actions'; but the VideoLAN website
offers one-click installs

The repo has been corrected and published - in time for the upcoming RC2
