To reproduce bug 1194206, I replaced the /var/run -> run compatibility symlink with a directory. After a few minutes (maybe at the next DHCP refresh) I found that wicked/netconfig hat put some subdirectories and files there, such as /var/run/netconfig/resolv.conf and /var/run/netconfig/yp.conf .
