yes I have it all.

While preparing the the requested info I could further nail down the issue. It
seems to depend on type of boot. In Legacy/BIOS boot the problem shows with
4.4.66, see below. When the same Leap install is booted in an EFI boot it does
not, see further below.

I have 2 disks in my Laptop, one where TW sits, this is set up as BIOS boot
disk.
The other where Leap 42.3 is installed has an EFI boot partition.

When the boot loader is build on either install I always include foreign OS, so
alternate boots are easy, but one way EFI and the other BIOS.

I need some more time to boot all three variants in EFI and in BIOS mode to
find out whether it is really a kernel version issue or a boot mode one.

Will add another comment here then.
