Comment # 45 on bug 883192 from Andreas Bockhold

Hi everybody,

I just installed the current Tumbleweed on a Fujitsu Lifebook E546 (as stated
by /sys/class/dmi/id/sys_vendor and /sys/class/dmi/id/product_name) and had
probably the same problem: touchpad not working.

# uname -r
4.9.0-1-default

I could solve the problem by appending "psmouse.proto=bare" to the kernel boot
options.

If you need any more details I'm happy to provide them.
