The change detecting too long partitions is:

It is usually meant to be able to ignore that warning and to let parted fix the
issue.
I need the MBR dump (first 512 bytes) for reproduction:

dd if=/dev/sda of=/yourpath/mbr.dump count=1

@Wolfgang: Can you please provide the MBR dump? TIA
