Thanks for the information about backporting this to SLE 15 SP2/3. I came accross the sssd-tools package, too. In Tumbleweed >= 20210427 the sssd control utility (sssctl) was moved from the package sssd to sssd-tools (https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/factory@lists.opensuse.org/thread/ES3BJGXLFL65BXHBRSLS2CJQEWTPLWYE/)
