(In reply to Johannes Meixner from comment #11) For me this looks like the printer with the wrong permissions and owner ship is not part of something like a data base (e.g. /usr/share/usb.ids) and/or is missing hint in its vendor description that it *is* a printer. On the other hand it could be that the printer is a 3in1 or 4in1 model which is currently not a printer but a scanner. We have lsusb as well as lsscsi but not a lslp to check this.
