I just checked, and the proposed fix in the Ubuntu bug report does not solve the problem. For reference, in case it is close to a real fix, I modified this file: /usr/share/kde4/apps/bluedevilwizard/pin-code-database.xml and added these two lines to it, near other lines for mice: <!-- Microsoft Sculpt Bluetooth mouse --> <device oui="28:18:78:" name="mouse" pin="0000"/> It still requires that I connect to the mouse while the mouse is in pairing mode to start working.
