My system is going down to 330 objects at night, too. I don't think this is the
problem.

Look for the output of "grep Shmem: /proc/meminfo". This value is going up by
5-6 GB per day on my system.

I'm running electron (a matrix.org client) and keybase, which are not _that_
common. Stopping those won't make shared memory usage go down significantly,
though.
