Thanks for the clarification, Takashi Iwai! If someone else is suffering from this issue: Sadly, the workaround with omit_drivers just prevents the inclusion of the module in the initrd, but systemd-modules-load still attempts to load snd_aloop and still fails visibly (instead of missing dependencies it's now due to the module itself being missing).
