After kernel update openSUSE-2017-734 (kernel 4.4.73-18.17-default), my laptop drains battery too fast even when idle (power consumption is ~19W according to powertop). Booting an older kernel 4.4.70-18.9-default fixes the situation (power consumption while idle is ~9W). The laptop is ASUS U30SD. It has nvidia GPU onboard, so this it's possible that GPU does not turn off when idle, at least power consumption numbers are similar.
