I've thought more about this and I'm not convinced that email should be sent if
mismatch_cnt is not zero.

If you would like to press the point I encourage you to raise the issue on the
email list (linux-raid@vger.kernel.org) - you don't need to subscribe to post.
If you find support, a fix might be included upstream.  If it is, we will
included it in openSUSE.
