Thanks Michael, I see. I understand zypper decision and motivation to not relay
on the outer rpm macros. Gonna fix the specific case on KIWI side then.

However I have to admit I am surprised that the /var/lib/rpm symlink is
actually needed even after installing rpm. But anyway this is another story.
