(In reply to Fabian Vogt from comment #3) > Actually, it shouldn't really be in /usr/share/applications to begin with. It is in /usr/share/applications because it's purpose is (was) to be an entry in the application menu to open the home folder. In KDE3 at least. It got hidden later (4.x) via "NoDisplay=true", maybe because Kickoff has a link on the "Computer" tab anyway And it has been removed from Konqueror during the port to KF5. The original file in Konqueror did have "Type=Application" though. > It's superseded by plasma5-workspace now Not really, the template for the desktop kio-slave is something else, and was in kdebase4-runtime before. > so it should be possible to just > remove it from the konqueror package now. Probably, or at least it should be replaced by the proper file (with "Type=Application"). The one's that currently gets installed is actually taken from Konqueror's sidebar that got removed. But I don't know why it has been added back in the openSUSE package in the first place (or by whom). The comment in the spec file says: Needed by various other scripts, but disabled in git Maybe somebody else can clarify that? Although I think we can just remove it, and in the worst case add it back if that causes problems.
