I think this is caused by the system qmltermwidget package being too old. I have built one from the latest git commit and it works: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:oxy:branches:openSUSE:Factory/qmltermwidget It has some little regressions (scanlines and pixelated rendering looks worse than it used to), but that could well be because upstream changed something. I'll compare it to how it looks on other distros, and submit my version if it looks as good (or bad) as those.
