In order to help you with regards to the files appearing:

When a user is created, its new home directory is created and pre-populated
with default files and folders to get him started. What you see there is
absolutely normal after a new user has been created.

If you want to know more about this, please search the internet for an
introduction to Linux, user management, home directories, and /etc/skel .


Please do not use this ticket for anything other than the Emacs issue. To move
forward on that, please provide us with detailed instructions on how to
reproduce it, as asked by Stefan in Comment 2. Without that information, there
is no way we can figure this out.
