save_y2log
Hi,
I just tried to reinstall via graphic GUI the OS on my laptop. The installation
fails with the message that an error occurred in
"/mounts/mp_0001/usr/share/YaST2/lib/y2storage/devicegraph.rb:153:in
`initialize'" when the partitioning tool should start.
The installation of openSUSE 13.2 worked fine 5 years ago. The actual
partitioning was created during this install.
I did try both NET and DVD build, for both I did check the sha256 sum.
Installation media was a 32 GiB SanDisk SDCZ48-032G created via "dd
if=<DVD.iso> of=/dev/sdf bs=4M"
It seems to me like there is a non correct error handling as noted in the lines
10137 to 10150 in y2log.
I did run "cryptsetup luksHeaderBackup /dev/sda6", but I am unsure if I could
upload this without creating an attack vector to the machine. Additional I have
the GPT backup and the first 16 MB of the disk, if anybody needs it to recover
the problem.
Attached the "save_y2log" output. I am now going to install via "chroot"
because the disk contains 2 OS-Partitions, so this is not urgent for me.
