The backupfile is about 250 GB. The backup takes about 16 hours !!! to complete. The file system on our openSuSE 11.2 is ext4. Backing up the same Exchange Server on the same machine with SLES 11 and ext3 file system took about 9 hours. We test the ext4 file system with other distributions as ubuntu. The amount of time the backup needs was the same (16 hours). The ubuntu distribution contains other versions of the kernel and samba as openSuSE 11.2. It seems that the ext4 file system is making this trouble. Now we are using a SLES 11 with ext3 and the backup is about 9 hours. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. mount a samba share on Windows Server 2003 Standard 64BIT with Exchange 2007 2. start ntbackup of Exchange Server 2007 to the samba share -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
