Okay, interesting. What happens when I delete libcanberra? Will the notification system switch over to Phonon automatically? If so, I could do that = delete libcanberra, to narrow down the possible root cause. If the notification system does not switch automatically to Phonon, maybe you could give me some advice how to do that manually (I normally do not have any clue about things like that)?
