Citing from the openSuSE documentation (not from tuxera.com as the additional
support info in the original issue report):

8.2 Mounting an NTFS Partition
Report Bug
#

NTFS, the New Technology File System, is the default file system of Windows. To
mount a Windows partition as a normal user, proceed as follows:
###################################

The last sentence in openSuSE documentation
(https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book.opensuse.startup/cha.fuse.html#sec.fuse.ntfs)
refers to:
  * mount a Windows partition as a <b>normal</b> user, proceed as follows

I would argue that mounting NTFS as normal user would be way more useful and
secure (as per access control) than as root. That being said the distribution
would need to enable it.

So if there is no man power/will to enable user NTFS mounts, making the
documentation better/clearer should relatively easy fix.

I hope that there is no ambiguity in my submission left,
Tomas
