Setting hostonly="no" in /etc/dracut.conf will not overwrite the distribution configuration which is hostonly="yes". To make the change the distribution setting in /usr/lib/dracut/dracut.conf.d/01-dist.conf has to be changed, but this change does not survive a package upgrade.
