1, please test if GDM has the same problem, we only support GNOME related
packages.
:~> zypper install gdm
:~> ls -l /etc/alternatives/default-displaymanager >
$HOME/default-displaymanager.backup
:~> unlink /etc/alternatives/default-displaymanager
:~> ln -ns /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/gdm
/etc/alternatives/default-displaymanager
:~> reboot

2, Is there any output in Ctrl+Alt+F1? 
   When you wait a little time(eg: 10 seconds), Does the result is the same(no
output in VT1/VT2/VT3)? 
   If the answer is the same please upload the supportlog. thank you!
