a dell optiplex with nvidia card and a hp laptop with intel graphics card both
are experiencing the same issue, however on the laptop it happens 90% of the
time but will allow me to use it 10%. The dell optiplex I have to use zypper
from the command line to install software.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open yast2
2. click on software center
3. wait for the repository update to finish  
Actual Results:  
then software center is gone.

Expected Results:  
Gone to the normal software center screen with options and search box.
