Indeed, and it shouldn't be necessary (normally).

That's certainly not a packaging problem though.
Maybe it's a problem in Qt, or Mesa (we had that once before at least), or
maybe just an unlucky coincidence.

TBH, from my POV I'd close this as WORKSFORME, but I'll give others the time to
chime in.
