A Configuration error in Bind's systemd startup script when part of Samba prevents Bind from starting. named.service needs a line changed to allow Bind to start with the Bind DLZ module running for a Samba Active Directory Domain Controller. ReadWritePaths=/var/lib/named /run/named /var/log Needs to be changed to: ReadWritePaths=/var/lib/named /run/named /var/log /var/lib/samba/bind-dns Or the Bind DLZ module will fail to start accessing Samba and named/bind will crash.
